Intro

When people talk about their favourite film of all time often I haven't seen them. Or sometimes I just don't like them.

I've never seen Goodfellas, The Shining or even Back to the Future.

I never like the long winded LOTR trilogy (apart from the first one) and the Star Wars trilogy didn't leave a lasting impression on me like it has to so many others.

Maybe I should be giving these films a chance? I wanted to watch these great movies again one by one and try not to be affected by my previous experience or impressions of what I saw or heard about these film. For my list of great movies I am going off the first 100 movies from Empire's list of the 500 greatest movies of all time.(http://www.empireonline.com/500/) Why not 500? Because I know how lazy I am...

So at this point I have already seen 19 of the films which I will write a brief review of each on here but from now on each of the movies I see will come up as a review on here, I might throw in a few reviews from non list films, TV shows of maybe books too for good measue. I'll show you the list in the next post...
